Despite coming second to Andreas Dibowski at Pau’s CCI in France, William Fox-Pitt has won the $150,000 HSBC FEI Classics series for collecting the most points across eventing’s annual four-star events; Kentucky, Badminton, Luhmuhlen, Burghley and Pau.

WFP took the title from fellow Brit, Oliver Townend.

A second-place finish on Navigator in Pau, France, was enough to beat Andreas Dibowski of Germany by two points. “I am very relieved and pleased, and pleased with my horse for coping so well,” said William.

Competing at this top level undoubtedly poses risk factors for equine joints, which is why WFP puts his faith in Grand Meadows products. “We’ve been using joint supplements for the event horses for several years now; it’s certainly been a very, very complicated subject, and the ones I’ve used in the past I’ve never been totally convinced about,” William said. “But with Ground Meadows, I really feel I’ve found the answer.
